Recap of North Branch Town Hall on Unions

The Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation wrote a recap of the May 19 Town Hall, "Why Unions?," held in North Branch, MN.

The panel, which included Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation President Bobby Kasper, Bob Ryan of the United Steelworkers, Katie Gulley of the Blue Green Alliance and Paul Mueller of the statewide teachers union, agreed that "unions serve as a check on the corporate greed that did, in fact, destroy the economy for working families. Through collective bargaining, unions ensure that middle class workers get a bigger slice of the pie."
