National Journal: Cravaack one of top ten most vulnerable lawmakers

The National Journal has published a list of the top ten most vulnerable lawmakers, which includes Minnesota's 8th Congressional District Rep. Chip Cravaack.

Looking at a variety of factors -- from fundraising, to voting record, to viability of opponents -- Rep. Cravaack came in at number 10. States the article, "His largely party-line voting record is at odds with the prairie populism of Minnesota’s Iron Range, a region that has traditionally seen a role for an active government."

The article also cites the "field of credible Democratic challengers," which now includes Jeff Anderson, Tarryl Clark, Daniel Fanning, and Rick Nolan.

The article, however, fails to mention a few other good reasons for his vulnerability, including his family's move out of the 8th District to New Hampshire, and his hesitation to hold a Town Hall meeting in Duluth.

Let's keep the momentum going and move Chip up on the list!

Check back here often for more 8th District and Chisago County DFL news, donate to the Chisago County DFL, join us on Facebook and Twitter, and attend our monthly meetings!

Tonight, our meeting will be held in Rush City, at 7 PM at Triple T's Pub and Grub. It's our hope that our DFL neighbors from Pine, Kanabec and Isanti Counties will join us. In addition, Richard Carlbom, Campaign Manager for Minnesotans United for All Families will be our guest speaker. More details and map of location can be found here.

Hope to see you there - Go DFL!
